Bonaire - January 2019

A crew of 9 spent a week diving and enjoying the warmth of Bonaire while the rest of us dealt with the snow and cold. It was an awesome trip, with a good variety of dive sites both North and South and a morning 2-tank trip to Klein Bonaire to boot.

Dive site highlights included the hike down/up 1000 steps, the giant stride off Oil Slick, day and night visits to Hilma Hooker, just to name a few. Marine life highlights included 3 frog fish at a coral head near HH, a resting turtle and moray sharing a rope sponge during a night dive at Yellow Sub, and OSTRACODS on our HH night dive a few nights after the full moon.

We certified 3 divers for night and deep diving specialties and above water, we visited the Donkeys and Flamingos down south, spent a few evenings dining "downtown" and even witnessed one of our group's couples get engaged! Here are a few pics.

Hope to see you on our next adventure!

“Just incredible.”

"Diving in Bonaire is just incredible.  The reefs are excellent, sealife is plentiful, and diving on your own time rather than a boat schedule with easily accessible sites from shore was terrific."

Don't miss the Salt Pier

"They've been harvesting salt in Bonaire for centuries.  The Salt Pier was built for commerce, but it makes for a fantastic dive site."
