If we get any more snow we'll all need to decompress before the warm weather finally arrives! To help out with your decompression we've got a list of great dive opportunities just waiting for you.

Dry Tortugas, May 15-21

Our favorite dive boat, the 100 foot JULIET is back, sailing from Florida and they've added a new destination to their itinerary. Join us as we depart Key West for the incredible Dry Tortugas. Named for the abundance of sea turtles found there, the Dry Tortugas lies 70 miles west of Key West in the Gulf of Mexico. The site of Fort Jefferson, an island fortress turned prison that was famous for holding conspirators of the Lincoln assassination. Now a national monument, it is surrounded by pristine reefs and contains some of the best diving in Florida. This one week trip will have us exploring rarely dove sites as the JULIET crew pampers us with great meals and awesome diving.

OCEAN CITY WRECK DIVES! 

Finally there's a chance to explore some of the incredible wrecks off our own coast without having to travel for hours on end! Board Ocean City's newest dive boat, the Malama Kai, for two dives daily to some of the most popular wrecks. Try your hand at spearfishing or just explore some of Maryland's sunken heritage. Travel with us as we depart on Friday evening for a full day of diving on Saturday, then return home that evening as we avoid the delays from the travelers going home on Sunday. Only $180 will get you to some of the coolest wrecks and biggest fish and lobster! Space limited to just six divers per trip. Book your spot now or miss the boat!

ST. LAWRENCE RIVER DIVES:

If you haven't done one of these trips yet, your missing out on some great diving. Explore shipwrecks and walls and even get the chance to come home with interesting artifacts. This year we WILL also explore three incredible dive sites on the US side. The Keystorm which is a gigantic freighter that lays on her side completely intact. Lot's of room for easy penetration into the wheel house and other spaces. The America is a large upside down barge with lots of room for exploration. Remember the best thing about St. Lawrence is it's easy to get to, offers great visibility, with water temperatures over 70 degrees! Spaces are limited and these fill up fast.

BONAIRE  JULY 2010

 

 For the diver who wants to set their own schedule without the hassle of early morning boat trips, Bonaire is just the place. With easy and accessible beach dives all around the island, you can dive where you want, when you want. Terrific reefs, drop-offs, and lot's of friendly creatures, it's a true diver's paradise.

SPECIALTY CLASSES

MARCH 18:  EQUIPMENT CLASS
    
This fun class,postponed due to the blizzard, is a great opportunity for you to learn about the inner workings of your dive gear. You'll have fun taking apart regs, valves, and other stuff as you learn how you can better care for your valuable equipment. learn what repairs you can make in the field to prevent you from losing a dive. It's a great evening class with lot's of laughs.


MARCH 24:  NITROX CLASS
    
Extend your bottom time without enduring long decompression stops. Nitrox is easy to use and will keep you underwater longer. This two hour course teaches you how to use Nitrox safely to enhance your diving experience.

APRIL 14:   WRECK DIVING
    
The summer ocean diving season is almost here! Learn the techniques of safely exploring shipwrecks, along with the rules and regulations surrounding this unique activity. With countless wrecks just off the Maryland coast, wreck diving is a fun, adventure filled activity. Last season we had great visibility and lot's of creature encounters. Learn how to dive wrecks, BEFORE, you go offshore.

MAY 12:  DEEP DIVING
    
Diving deep means different things to all of us, but there can be hazards if you're unprepared. The Deep Diving course will get you ready for the challenges of deep diving and you'll do your first deep dives under our supervision. Informative and fun, the deep class will get you ready for another great dive season.

JUNE 16:  NIGHT DIVING
    
Don't be afraid of the dark anymore. Night diving can be a little eerie, but it's lot's of fun. Learn about what types of lighting works best and just what to do when the lights go out. This class helps you not just for night diving, but anytime the visibility drops below what your comfortable with.

JUNE 23:  NITROX

SCUBA RANGERS

The Scuba Rangers program is returning this spring with a new schedule of development classes for new Rangers and lot's of new and fun filled activities for rangers and their parents. Course dates coming soon!

SERVICE

It's that time again, time to bring your gear in for its annual service. The line can get pretty long in the repair shop with spring approaching, so bring your equipment in early to insure you'll be ready for that first warm dive day.
